Split System Air Conditioner Sets

Split system air conditioners are quiet and effective. A split system air conditioner is a refrigeration air conditioner that splits its components into two parts: an indoor unit, which contains the evaporator component, and an outdoor unit which houses the compressor and condenser components.

Split System units come in a range of sizes to fit most size rooms in a home. They are the most common form of heating and cooling in Australia which makes the units very competitively priced.

Multi-Head Split System Air Conditioners

A multi-head split system air conditioner provides more flexibility where several areas need to be addressed and a ducted system is not suitable. A multi-split has one controller per head so you can control the temperature and airflow in each room all operated by one outdoor compressor operating the individual heads.

The main benefits of multi-head systems is when you want multiple rooms air conditioner but you do not have room in the ceiling for a ducted system- like in a 2 story home. If you have restricted space in the outdoor area for multiple standard split system compressors.

These systems are very popular in apartments and unit accommodation complexes.

Ducted Air Conditioning

A ducted air conditioning system has its internal unit (fan coil) installed within the roof space of the home. A series of ducts run from the air conditioning unit to each of the rooms in the home, allowing you to cool or heat each room using individual controls or zoning

Ducted air conditioning is the most effective way to heat and cool your entire home. Technology is developing all the time so you can now have completely independent room temperature control that can be operated by your smart devise from anywhere in the world.

Cassette Air Conditioning

The cassette air conditioning system is normally mounted on the ceiling or are a suspended air conditioner, for when wall space is limited. Additionally, these systems are ideal if there is not enough attic space for a ducted system to be installed.

If you have large open spaces with lots of windows, this system is ideal as it can be centrally located in the ceiling to evenly cool the whole room. The cassette air conditioners are non-intrusive to the room and is one of the best methods of heating and cooling large areas without impinging on wall space.

Which Brand to Choose?

There are lots of different manufactures of air conditioners so when deciding you may wish to consider:

  • Initial cost of the machine

  • On going cost of operating the unit

  • After market support from the company

  • Cost of after market parts should they be required

  • Market reputation and longevity of the brand

  • Installers advice and opinion

  • Ease of servicing

  • Noise level

The brands we suggest or recommend tick many if not all these boxes!
